The Pacific Ocean is a host to a diverse ecology. Living in Southern California you are likely to see everything from Blue Whales and Dolphins, to Seals and Sea Lions.

Fishing is also a favorite past time of communities living near the water. When visiting San Diego and other great Southern California cities, remember to bring your rod and reel! Or you can always rent one!
Often times you’ll enjoy people fishing off the docks, some people even trap Dungeness Crab! Some people prefer fishing in the open water, that’s probably our personal favorite!
With so many different fishing techniques the options for fun with the family are almost limitless.

I’ve compiled a list of common fish found along the Southern California Coast.
