Milos is a volcanic Greek island in the Aegean Sea, which is north of the Sea of Crete. This is the most southwestermost island in the Cyclades group. Milos has a total of 160.147 sq. km and has a population of about 5,000 inhabitants. Milos was first valued heavily for its obsidian source about 15,000 years ago. It produced a substantial amount of obsidian because Milos was constructed from volcanic activity.
Milos is an absolute dream to sail to. This is definitely an island to sail to if you have the ability to do so because of the absolutely beautiful water and amazing climate. The island measures about 14 miles from east to west and about 8.1 miles north to south. It has a very hilly and rugged terrain. It is very famous for their harbor towns that sit right on top of the water.
There are also 70 world-renowned beaches amongst Milos; however, with this weather, it is far too dry to actually grow any vegetation. Milos is the most popular during the summertime famous for its beautiful beaches and its statue of Aphrodite.
