Lately, we have been getting a lot of questions regarding exactly why we are sailing around the world. We at Seas Lyfe all have a couple of things in common, more than anything we absolutely love the water and living on it. Many of us make our entire living off of being watersports professionals, and as people who need to water in order to thrive, it kills us when we see small pieces or bottles of plastic floating on the ocean. The amount of trash we have put into the ocean is unsustainable; if we keep up at this rate we will surely kill off the ocean in no time. As of right now, it has been shown that microplastics in our ocean outnumber plankton 5 to 1. We need to change how we are disposing of waste before it becomes too late. 
We have decided that we are going to circumnavigate around the world for the next 2 years starting in November. On our voyage, we will be traveling to many 3rd world countries spreading our message of conservation and disposing of our waste properly, especially plastic. The amount of plastic we as humans use every day will kill our planet. Plastic is meant to last for over 1,000 years in our ecosystem, never to biodegrade or decompose.
We all need to start taking care of the planet that gives us life. We cannot keep on treating the ocean as expendable, it provides us with over 70% of our oxygen and a good portion of society with food through fishes. We simply can not survive on this planet without the ocean. Please help us save our planet.
