We here at SeasLyfe are proud to be based in beautiful California, the Golden State on the West Coast of the United States. The California coast stretches 840 miles from north to south, containing hundreds of bays, coves, islands, and beaches that are integral to life in the Golden State.

California is generally divided between Northern and Southern California. In Northern California, the coastline is in a much cooler climate, allowing for the famous California Redwood forests to populate much of the scenery. Southern California’s coastline is dominated by cliffs that cascade into the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Coast Highway stretches the entire length of the state, providing a scenic drive past California’s most valuable resource.

The coast is California’s gateway to the Pacific Ocean, which defines life all around the state. Even non-coastal areas are affected by the preservation of the ocean, as industries such as shipping and transportation rely heavily on the ocean to keep California’s economy moving. Protecting the ocean is a task for all Californians, and the State takes some action in order to prevent offshore drilling and dredging that can harm ocean ecosystems. Many organizations are also getting ahead of environmental degradation, as it is a problem too large to be solved by anyone alone.
