At Seas Lyfe, we’re committed to circumnavigating the globe in order to educate about the importance of ocean conservation. Circumnavigating the globe has been the goal of many explorers throughout history, often in pursuit of glory, riches, or knowledge. Seas Lyfe, however, is interested in raising awareness and spreading global conservation efforts in pursuit of sharing knowledge and sustainable living.

The first recorded circumnavigations of the globe were in the 16th century; explorers such as Ferdinand Magellan and Francis Drake sailed the world looking for trade routes and mapping coastlines and sea lanes. The modern record for a wind-powered sail circumnavigation is just over 42 days! Sailing is a fantastic way to be able to connect all over the world, and Seas Lyfe is committed to using the power of sailing to promote ocean conservation.

Minimizing the impact that humans have on our oceans is a monumental task, something that one person, one country, or one organization cannot do on their own. By circumnavigating the globe, we can raise awareness in communities worldwide about reducing human degradation that affects us all. An interconnected world demands global solutions to global problems, and conserving our oceans is a global problem that touches everyone.
